Chef Henry’s passion for quality Chinese food began at age 16 when he started working in kitchens. He eventually worked his way up to be a chef instructor, training others in preparing delectable banquet dishes and unique fruit and vegetable carvings in many of Shanghai and Chengdu’s finest hotels and restaurants.
Today, he brings his passion and enthusiasm to the Calgary Farmers' Market where he specializes in preparing dim sum which literally translates to “touch your heart”.
We offer many different dim sum delights including steamed, pan fried, baked and deep fried goodies, as well as vegetarian and gluten free items!
Each and every one of our dumplings are carefully crafted by hand using a technique which takes years to master. Try your favourites with a side of chilli sauce and dark vinegar. Also available frozen for you to make at your convenience.
A local favourite is a gently steamed sticky rice stuffed with a variety of savoury ingredients wrapped in a lotus leaf.
Our Siu Mai skewers are made of seasoned pork wrapped in a thin dough with a tantalizing caramelized topping.
Steamed or baked, our char siu bao is generously filled with delicately flavoured barbeque pork and sells out daily.
A crowd favourite is our ginger beef- sold by the plateful along with handmade noodles.
