CELEBRATING at the Calgary FARMERS' MARKET
West and South Locations

We love seeing our guests celebrate special occasions with us, bringing even more joy and community spirit to the market. However, to maintain a comfortable and accessible environment for all our visitors, we have specific guidelines regarding celebrations, including birthday parties and other gatherings.

The Calgary Farmers’ Market is a vibrant, community-centric space where families, friends, and neighbours come together to enjoy the best of local food, crafts, and entertainment. Our market is designed to be a welcoming place for all to explore, shop, and enjoy the unique offerings of our local vendors.

Table Reservations and Space Use

Our seating and play areas are intended for the enjoyment of all our visitors on a first-come, first-served basis. This ensures fair access for everyone wanting to enjoy what the market has to offer, without the need to compete for space.

To prevent overcrowding and ensure the safety and comfort of all our patrons, we do not allow the reserving of tables or exclusive use of the kids’ play zone. This policy helps us manage the flow of visitors and maintain a safe, enjoyable environment for everyone.

The open and shared use of our space encourages a sense of community and interaction among our visitors, aligning with the market’s ethos of communal support and engagement.

Given the market’s busy nature and limited seating areas, reserving space for private events could significantly impact the experience of other shoppers and visitors. Our priority is to offer a pleasant and accessible environment for all our guests throughout their visit.

Planning Your Visit

While we cannot accommodate private reservations in our general seating and play areas, the LOFT at the Calgary Farmers’ Market West offers an excellent alternative for hosting your special events in a more private setting.

Special Venue for Private Events

For those looking to celebrate special occasions or host private events, we are delighted to rent our upstairs event space at Calgary Farmers’ Market West.

This exclusive space is available to book for private events, providing a secluded area for you and your guests to celebrate, with a minimum booking window of 3 hours.

Click here for more information and submit a request. https://www.calgaryfarmersmarket.ca/the-loft-event-centre/

For gatherings in our general market area, consider visiting during off-peak hours for a more comfortable experience. Additionally, exploring the market’s diverse food and craft vendors can make your celebration unique and memorable for all your guests.

Additionally, we do not allow any outside food or drink within our Market. We have many vendors that are happy to supply you with all of your needs.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping the Calgary Farmers' Market a welcoming, inclusive, and safe space for all our community members. If you have any questions or need further information, please don't hesitate to contact us.
