Our mission is to support the growth of small local businesses, helping them thrive and invigorate our economy, making Calgary more vibrant. Many small vendors lack the resources to compete with big box stores, and we’re proud to have built a community that helps them find success by connecting with new customers weekly.
As an Alberta Approved Farmers’ Market, we follow the 80/20 rule, ensuring at least 80% of vendors “make it, bake it, or grow it,” supporting Alberta growers and fostering local products for a stronger community.

Supporting Local Since 2011
The Calgary Farmers’ Market opened its doors in April 2011 near Heritage Drive and Blackfoot Trail, bringing 55,000 square feet of local goodness to the city. What started as a vision to connect Calgarians with fresh food and local makers quickly became a staple in the community.
Today, our South location is home to over 75 vendors offering everything from fresh produce and Alberta-raised meats to globally inspired meals and handmade goods. The vibrant food hall features 20 family-owned restaurants, seating for 300, a soaring glass atrium, and our beloved Barnyard Kids play area – making it a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike. With over 1 million guests annually, it’s more than a market – it’s a Calgary tradition.
Growing With Calgary
In the summer of 2022, we opened our second home in the city’s growing northwest community of Greenwich. Just 15 minutes from downtown and across from WinSport, the Calgary Farmers’ Market West brings 54,000 additional square feet of local charm – surrounded by mountain views and city energy.
The West location offers everything you love about the market with a fresh twist: al fresco-style dining, boutique-style vendor stalls, and room to explore, taste, and connect. Whether you’re here to stock up, grab a bite, or soak in the weekend vibes – the market is ready to welcome you.
